IT'S MORE THAN WORDS TO ME: Literature Masquerading as Erotic Romance www.montanaraffertymoss.com
I contend my novels shouldn't be classified as "erotic romance." Although they contain a peppering of explicit descriptive sex acts, a reader must look beyond all that spicy bedroom behavior to see sophisticated story lines, intricate plot development, and coherent character evolution. If you just want gratuitous sex, look elsewhere. I put too much work in my fiction for it to be so ordinary.

ABOUT ME

I write erotic romances because that's the way I wish my own life had been. Larger than life...

I began writing when I was ten. It was a screenplay based on a TV show I loved. Then I wrote poetry and impressed my English teachers with wild tales and intriguing reactions to their otherwise boring writing assignments.
I wrote more screenplays as the years went by and attended screenwriting workshops. I even spent a year at the University of Washington's beautiful Seattle campus learning how to write a professional full-length feature film. A brilliant fantasy about Emperor Hadrian of Rome was born because of it.
I earned BAs in Anthropology and Communication Studies. I loved learning about interpersonal communication and how conflict arises due to perceptual misunderstandings, so I went on and got a Masters in that.
I've always been a prolific reader. My favorite authors are Heinlein and other classic sci-fi writers as well as Steinbeck and his contemporaries. And there's always Hugo and his ilk. I can't ever pass on a good autobiography or historical biography either.
Not long ago, I stepped away from a stifling relationship and let my spirit soar. So far, five erotic romances of the Down the Prairie Rabbit Hole Romance Series bear my name. And I've only just begun!
